Congratulations to RTPI members on Queen’s honours list

RTPI members were among those who received honours in the New Year. The honours system recognises people of outstanding merit and those who have committed themselves to service.

Jim MacKinnon, Director and Chief Planner for the Built Environment, Scottish Executive received a CBE.

Professor Peter Fidler, MBE, a former past President of the RTPI, also received a CBE for services to Higher Education. He is currently Vice-Chancellor at the University of Sunderland.

Richard Summers, RTPI President, said: "I am delighted that recognition of RTPI members in the New Years Honours List highlights again the vital contribution of planners to making better places."
