If you have an interest in planning and want to be involved, you can become an Affiliate of the RTPI. 

Affiliates belong to a non-professional class hence they do not require any professional planning qualification, experience or educational attainment. Applicants who are eligible for other classes of membership cannot apply to become an Affiliate.

Affiliates receive the following benefits:

• Electronic copies of Planning Magazine
• Access to CPD training (regional and national) at RTPI member rates
• Access to RTPI  website including any ‘member only’ resources  
• Access to RTPI social events at member rates
• The ability to pay subscriptions in instalments
• Access to Planners in the Workplace support
• Access to member forums and CPD on RTPI Learn
• The ability to join RTPI Networks

Affiliates cannot use post-nominal distinctions or vote in corporate elections.

Costs

There is a £20 administration charge to process your application and an annual subscription rate of £80.
