Planning Aid England are extensively involved in Neighbourhood Planning and are advising a number of communities on the concept. Earlier this year Planning Aid England in conjunction with Planning Aid for London were awarded funding by DCLG under the Supporting Communities and Neighbourhoods. Since then they have been working with a number of community groups on the production of their neighbourhood plans as well as providing advice to those who are keen to get involved in the process once the Localism Act comes into force. They also take a pro-active role in education and capacity building with respect to Neighbourhood Planning.
