The Future of Planning Aid England - Leeds Volunteer event Friday 1st July

This highly productive event was jointly hosted by Leeds Metropolitan University, RTPI and Planning Aid England, organised and chaired by Harvey Pritchard.
On the day just over 50 people attending this day long series of workshops and presentations. Trudi Elliot, Chief Executive of the RTPI gave the opening address, capturing how the PAE service core aims and objectives will be delivered in the new structure and with reduced income. This was followed by workshops looking at how volunteers can support the new structures. The afternoon session focused upon the longer term funding of the service. The afternoon started with a presentation by Petra Biberbach Chief Executive of Planning Aid for Scotland who gave an overview of the development of their social enterprise, followed by workshops to discuss opportunities for PAE. The day was concluded with Q&A.
Similar events are being planned by the PAE area Co-ordinators, based on volunteer demand.
