PRESIDENT'S SPECIAL AWARD GIVEN TO THE VOLUNTEERS OF THE RTPI
04-Feb-10
WINNER ANNOUNCED - GRATEFUL THANKS TO ALL OF OUR VOLUNTEERS
Martin Willey, President in 2009, presented his Special Award at the Awards Lunch held on Thursday 4 February to the active members and volunteers of the RTPI. This includes the myriad of members up and down the country who give their time, either through chairing regions, sitting on judging panels, to standing for election to the Executive Board and General Assembly, and of course volunteering their time for the various Planning Aid services.
Martin said that the the success of the Institute is down in a large part to the immense time and effort put in by its members and by giving this award to the volunteers of the Institute he hoped that this award would demonstrate the depth of appreciation and gratitude that all in the Presidential team and the staff have for their efforts.

Receiving the award were: (from left to right)
Peter Wilbraham, the Institute's Honorary Solicitor and Secretary
Laura Smith representing the RTPI Young Planners
Mark Tombs, a volunteer for Planning Aid England
