♦ Advantage West Midlands Landfill Diversion Strategy – Advantage West Midlands (2010)
Advantage West Midlands has developed a new spatial strategy to stimulate and encourage investment in new waste infrastructure which will divert waste from landfill and create green jobs. The approach taken is original and brings a clear and consistent methodology that helps to breed confidence in the planning process.
♦ Solent Waterfront Strategy - Adams Hendry Consulting Ltd (2009)
The strategy provides for the first time an evidence base, analysis and strategy for marine industries and marine-related industries across the Solent sub-region. It provides an exemplar of best practice by highlighting the depth of knowledge and insights needed to underpin a strategic plan for a major sub-region.
♦ Marine Spatial Planning – Terrance O’Rourke Ltd (2007)
The project researched and advised on the practicality of introducing a system for marine spatial planning (MSP) for UK territorial waters. It has demonstrated, via a pilot in part of the Irish Sea that the principles of spatial planning are transferable to the marine environment and would also complement spatial planning on land.

♦ Clay Country Vision – Terence O’Rourke, Orascom Development, Imerys Minerals Ltd, Eden Project, Cornwall County Council (2010)
Clay Country is a proposed new eco-community on a series of brownfield sites comprising former china clay pits, associated industrial development, and scarred landscape around St Austell in Cornwall.
♦ Aylesbury Estate Area Action Plan – London Borough of Southwark (2010)
The Aylesbury Area Action Plan is a very good example of the use of the AAP process to provide a robust long term plan for the redevelopment of a famous London estate with a history of environmental and social problems.
Urban Design Framework for Stratford-upon-Avon – Stratford-upon-Avon District Council (2008)
'World Class Stratford’ is the strap line of the Urban Design Framework (UDF) for Stratford-on-Avon, which has provided a clear spatial framework for the regeneration of the town.
♦ Redcar and Cleveland Local Development Framework – Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council (2007)
Redcar and Cleveland is a small unitary authority of great contrast and with widespread regeneration needs. The Local Development Framework has been used as fundamental tool to raise the stakes for Redcar and reinvigorating local expectations.
♦ Primary Schools Capital Investment Programme: Planning Strategy – London Borough of Barnet (2007)
The London Borough of Barnet has integrated development of its education capital investment programme with spatial planning and corporate planning to produce a spatial strategy with wide public support to deliver a new generation of primary schools for its growing population.
