EC1 Public Spaces: Building a Lasting Legacy – London Borough of Islington (2010)

The EC1 area of Islington is a high density inner-city neighbourhood that suffers high levels of deprivation. The Public Space Strategy recognised the importance of improving the public realm as part of the solution to the areas problems. The planning, design community engagement and project implementation all represent models of good practice that others can follow.

City of London Street Scene Challenge - City of London (2009)
Sets out how with a clear vision and a strategic approach significant enhancements to the public realm can be achieved. It aims to coordinate the delivery of public realm enhancements in the City of London, resulting in very high quality individual projects.
