Practice Signposts

Everyone who works within UK or Irish planning systems is aware of the amount of information and guidance available and how time consuming and difficult it can be to find what you need.
This page aims to provide links to key web sites and documents which will help planners in their day-to-day working lives. Scroll down to browse the topics and the information available.
Further information on planning related documents is available from our Library and Information Service.
This page will evolve and expand over time as new guidance is published and the RTPI is able to devote more time to developing this resource, a process that it is hopes to develop in partnership with others.
The links currently only refer to practice advice relevant to the English Planning system. It is hoped that advice specific to Ireland, Scotland and Wales will be available in the near future.
This page contains a many links to external websites. Whilst the RTPI will make every effort to ensure that they are up to date we cannot guarantee their accuracy. If you come across any links that no longer work or documents which are missing contact practice@rtpi.org.uk
