This award was a new initiative established by Martin Willey, 2009 RTPI President, to spotlight and celebrate the achievements of planners in each UK Region and Nation who have shown outstanding leadership qualities or who have already demonstrated the potential for such leadership.

Lynsey Rigg, of DPP LLP, Bedford, was awarded the Today's Leader Award.

Rob Hobbs of Ipswich BC was awarded the Tomorrow's Leader Award.
