Application Deadlines for Chartered Membership*, Fellowship, Technical Membership, Associate Membership, Legal Associate Membership and reinstatement to above classes
The Membership Panel considers applications for the above classes at quarterly meetings.
The deadlines for submission of applications and the Panel meeting dates for 2008-09 are:

*Phase-Out of Chartered Membership through Standard Entry
Chartered Membership through standard entry will be phased out and replaced by the APC in 2009. Applications through standard entry will be accepted until 31 December 2008. Please note that the RTPI's offices close for the Christmas period on Tuesday 23rd December and reopen on Monday 5th January. The Membership Team will therefore not be able to assist with enquiries during this time, so it is strongly recommended that all applications are submitted before the office closure.
Applications received by the 29 August and the 28 November 2008 deadlines will be considered at the 17 October 2008 and 23 January 2009 meetings of the Membership Panel respectively. Applications received after 29 November and before 31 December 2008 will be considered at the 17 April 2009 meeting of the Membership Panel.
APC Submission Deadlines for Licentiates
A separate schedule of submission deadlines is operated for Licentiates applying for Chartered Membership through the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC).
Applications for Student Membership and Transfer to the Retired Members’ Class
There are no submission deadlines for applications for Student membership, reinstatement to Student membership and transfer to the Retired Members’ class. Applications received by the end of the month are considered on the first day of the following month.

The following non-refundable administration fee must accompany the application. Please make cheques payable to the RTPI.

Any application that has been deferred will be processed free of charge if it is resubmitted within two years of the deferral decision.
