There are two accredited Planning Programmes in the Republic of Ireland, at University College Dublin and University College Cork

The Irish Branch, Southern Section, supports student achievement by awarding a prize each year to the best student on each of the two accredited programmes.

The Annual Branch Dinner is held to coincide with the RTPI President’s visit to Ireland.

RTPI President Martin Willey presented the student prizes at the Annual Dinner, to which the prize-winning students are invited as guests of the Institute.

The Secretary General usually accompanies the President on the Branch visit and also attends the dinner.
