Since 2007, a variety of events have been held in Bury St Edmunds, Hertford, Ipswich and Norwich covering biodiversity, development appraisal, landscape architecture and urban design.

In Bury St Edmunds in 2007 and 2008, the region held a licentiate event for those completing the Assessment of Professional Competence with Jacqui Ward of the RTPI giving the presentation.

The Haven Gateway group organised an event in 2007 at Endeavour House in Ipswich. The theme was "Design and the Historic Environment", with presentations by Michael Munt of English Heritage and Bob Kindred of Ipswich BC.

In Hertfordshire an event was held in 2007 on the topic of "Going Green: Eco Homes and Eco Schools".

Several events were held throughout 2007 and 2008 in Norwich including “Planning Opportunities in Australia” and a walking tour of the city entitled “High Density Housing and Contemporary Architecture”.
