Cancelled Practice Advice Notes (PANs)
08-Jan-07
Where RTPI practice advice notes (PANs) no longer provide sound, up-to-date advice on which members should rely, they have been cancelled.
In some cases original PANs have now been replaced by Good Practice Notes (GPNs). In others, the content is either due to be replaced, other bodies provide adequate good practice advice or there is no longer a need for advice.
The following PANs have been cancelled and members should no longer refer to them:
- PAN1: Development Control: Handling Planning Applications (1988)
Signposting to sources of further information and guidance is available from the librarian on request. - PAN5: Consultancy by Current and Former Public Sector Employees (1989)
This has been replaced by GPN2: Consultancy by Current and Former Public Sector Employees (June 2006) - PAN8: Development Briefs
Signposting to sources of further information and guidance is available from the librarian on request. - PAN11: Personal Safety at Meetings and Site Visits (1992)
This has been replaced by GPN3: Personal Safety at Work: Risk assessment, avoiding conflict and carrying out safer site visits and meetings (November 2006) - PAN12: Planning for Women (1995)
- This has been replaced by GPN7:Gender and Spatial Planning (December 2007)
