International perspectives on Climate Change for World Town Planning Day 2009
07-Nov-09

Prompted by a desire to mark World Town Planning Day 2009 with reference to the RTPI's work addressing climate change through its Seven Commitments initiative, RTPI Scotland is grateful to representatives of other countries who have indicated work being undertaken and some of the challenges they face in planning for climate change.
We are making these responses available here with the aim of supporting dialogue and learning in Scotland, the UK and internationally on this crucial issue that affects the future of us all. Each country's respondent was asked to include an image or images, some brief text describing climate change issues and approaches being taken, and links to further information. We have identified the source of this material, and have not edited it in any way. Each country's page is dated, and we hope to provide updates as and when they become available.
We will be continuing to research and add to this resource over the coming months, as well as considering how we can further support the work of RTPI members and others in tackling climate change.
