Royal Mail staff have been undertaking industrial action in various parts of the UK for a number of months. Communication Workers Union members have now voted for further industrial action.

There are a number of election deadlines coming up over the next few months, which may be affected by industrial action by postal workers. 

These include Assessment of Professional Competence deadlines of 23/10/2009 and 22/01/2010 and a Membership Panel deadline 27/11/2009.

The membership team would encourage all candidates to allow as much time as possible for posted applications to reach our offices here at Botolph Lane. It is possible to deliver your application by hand to our offices during normal working hours (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm).

We will continue to monitor the situation and remain as flexible as timescales will allow.
