New ESPON Calls Launched

UK researchers in the academic and private sectors now have until 11 November to submit proposals for new spatial analysis under the ESPON 2013 programme. Public authorities are also invited to put forward expressions of interest in future research specifically tailored to meet their own needs within an EU context.  Summary leaflets can be downloaded here.

The available budget is 14.91 million Euro, with some individual projects worth up to 1 million Euro. Key new areas of work include urban form, attractiveness for tourism, secondary growth poles, innovation, spatial analysis of maritime activities and resources and territorial indicators.
