Planning to live with Climate Change
05-Dec-11
All parts of the RTPI are involved in delivering its Planning to live with climate change initiative. The RTPI has set out Seven Commitments on Climate Change (pdf, 2.2 mb).
What is NAPE doing?
NAPE is playing its part in helping to deliver the RTPI's Planning to live with climate change initiative.
Previously, NAPE member Michael Lloyd Hughes was contacted for NAPE’s views on ‘Shaping the Government’s approach to enabling adaptation to climate change’. Read the questions he was asked and his responses.
Michael has also written about how newly updated Planning Policy in Wales focuses on climate change.
Michael attended a Low Carbon Building Design Workshop and the speakers have kindly agreed for their presentation (pdf, 1.1 mb) to be put on this webpage (please note copyright belongs to Arup).
Michael attended the RTPI Climate Change Champions meeting in May 2010, here are his notes (pdf, 16 kb).
If you have any examples of good practice or have ideas about climate change that you'd like to share with other NAPE members, then please contact us.
