Planning Academy launch postponed
15-Jun-09
In response to the economic downturn, and in recognition of the pressures facing Planning professionals and those managing their training budgets, the Summer School has decided to postpone the full launch of its Planning Academy, until September 2010.
Summer School President Alistair Hackston said “While this is a clear disappointment to our members – and to those who had already booked with us – we will now use the opportunity to develop and promote the idea and the programme over the next 12 months, to offer the Academy the launch that the idea deserves.
The Summer School has developed its Planning Academy as a unique combination of plenary session presentations of the activities of other development professions, and extended training workshop opportunities, offering hands-on exploration of professional subject specialisms.
The other two parts of the Summer School – the Elected Members School and the Planners School – are unaffected by the decision on the Academy, and will continue to provide the Inspiration and experience, with which they have become associated.
Please join us at Exeter University, for the Elected Members School, on September 4-8,
or the Planners School, on September 8-12, 2009.
