Planning Aid England is a vibrant and growing voluntary sector service, which aims to empower local communities to effectively engage with the planning process and influence decisions that affect their local area. Planning Aid is currently recruiting for the following post:

REGIONAL MANAGER, Nottingham
Full time – 8-month temporary contract (maternity cover)
£34,207 per annum, pro rata

The Role: To ensure the effective delivery and development of the Regions Planning Aid service through managing the regional team on a day-to-day basis. You will be responsible for strategic planning, delivery and have full budgetary responsibility for the region. You will also be required to promote and publicise the work of Planning Aid, which will include securing additional funding through development of projects and initiatives.

The Person: You should be able to demonstrate a previous management background and the ability to plan, organise and manage both people and projects. The ability to network and influence a varied audience are key aspects of this role so excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are essential. Whilst a planning qualification is not essential, some knowledge of the planning system would be a distinct advantage, as would knowledge of fundraising and the voluntary sector. You will be subject to a CRB check.
