European Council of Spatial Planners

ECTP-CEU (European Council of Spatial Planners-Conseil européen des urbanistes) is an umbrella association which aims to provide its members with a common forum for information exchange and the promotion of awareness of the contribution of spatial planning to sustainable development. Key issues of shared interest include the response of spatial planning to the challenge of climate change and the concept of "balanced development" across the EU. The Council was founded in 1985 as the European Council of Town Planners. It brings together 24 professional spatial planning associations and institutes from 22 European countries including
