THE GREAT DEBATE SOUTH WEST 2012:  Part 1

22nd March 2012, Burges Salmon Offices, Bristol - 6.00 pm - 9.00 pm

A joint RICS, RIBA, RTPI and ICE event.  What role for land, property and construction sectors in the quest for renewed economic growth in the context of localism?

The Debate:

Amidst severely constrained finances in both public and private sectors and in the climate of localism, we now have LEPs and Enterprise Zones as vehicles to stimulate economic growth and prosperity.  The built environment has to be part of the equation, it provides the physical infrastructure to attract, house and service the wealth creators whilst at the same time being a net contributor to the economy of some £2.8 for every £1 invested.

Questions:

How should the sector engage?

How can it contribute when it is still in need of a major kick start itself?

How do the NPPF and localism/interact with sector?

Come and join the debate but book early to avoid disappointment.  Price £5+VAT.  Click here to make a booking.
