Northern communities receive valued support

Communities in the North of England continue to receive positive and valued support from Planning Aid North (PAN). The regional service has just published its quarterly reviews for the period of July to September 2008.

PAN’s Advice and Support Helpline, 0870 8509803, continues to be used by more and more people. Potentially 2,827 people have been help by their Planning Advisor and volunteers during the last 6 months. The Service has now already achieved its annual community planning targets for awareness, training and stakeholder relationships.

A national lead continues to be made with their innovative education support programme for young people. Over 1,000 young people were supported in the last 3 months alone.

The Service also continues to be very effective in sharing information with over 50 known articles published in 2008.
