NAPE AGM/National Conference 2008 – The Changing Face of Enforcement - FULLY BOOKED!
This year’s AGM/National Conference will be held on the 12th November, 10.00am – 4.15pm at Austin Court Conference Centre, Birmingham and is open exclusively to NAPE members.The morning will consist of a short AGM followed by a talk from the event sponsors, No5 Chambers. Later Vivien Green will be introducing the workshops that will take place after lunch. All delegates will have the opportunity to attend one workshop from a choice of 4. Places are limited to a maximum of 25 per workshop:
- NAPE and Heritage Enforcement. Led by Bob Kindred, Government Liaison Secretary IHBC and Conservation and Urban Design Operational Manager, Ipswich Borough Council
- What does the new Development ‘Management’ approach mean for Enforcement? Led by Alison Blom-Cooper, Addison & Associates
- What’s in a Name – Enforcement or Compliance? Led by Dave McGowan, Head of Development Management, Lake District National Park Authority
- The new 2006 Act Enforcement Provisions in Scotland. Led by John McLuskie, Enforcement Officer, South Lanarkshire Council
We will then have the keynote speech from a barrister from No.5 Chambers and closing remarks from NAPE Management Committee Chairman Leslie Smith to round off the day.
We are expecting this event to be well attended so please book in advance to avoid disappointment. This event will be free of charge to attend, however last minute cancellations (no less than 10 days before the event) will be subject to a small fee to recover costs. The venue is easily accessible by rail, road and air but please advise us if you need directions.
