China Study Tour Autumn 2008
21-Jul-08
Have you wondered about visiting China but thought that if you did, you would want your tour to include some sites and activities relating to planning? RTPI would like to make this possible, with the help of the the RTPI West Midlands Region with its successful record of organising study tours to China. The occasion for our tour is the Global Planners Network Congress in Zhenjiang (Jiangsu Province) from 31 October to 2 November with the theme "Urbanisation, Poverty and Climate Change”.
Leaving the UK on Sunday 26 October, the tour will start in Shanghai and go via Dong Tan to Zhenjiang ready for the Congress. There will be an option to stay on in China for another week to attend the UN Habitat World Urban Forum 4 from 3-6 November in the capital of Jiangsu Province, Nanjing, or to visit Xi'an or Beijing.
Following confirmation of these conference dates, the Study Tour is now going ahead. The basic 9-day tour (Sunday 26 October to Monday 3 November including GPN Congress registration and attendance) will cost about £1,645 including flights from UK airports; add-on elements are costed separately. The full details are in the Tour Brochure.
