North East Young Planners - back on track,
Tokyo! What a great night out!
The RTPI North East Region sponsored the 1st event of the year for the reformed North East Young Planners in December!! Whilst you may think that December is late in the year, it is hoped that this event will provide the momentum for many more in 2008. The Christmas wine reception was held on the 12th December at Tokyo Bar, Newcastle. It was a great night where over 25 young planners from the region turned up to socialise and share experiences. A number of the large consultancies and local Council's were represented, as well as a number of students signifying a keen interest. The venue provided a large room at the rear of the bar which allowed everyone to chat in an informal environment. After a couple of glasses of wine , provided by the RTPI, the stigma attached to professional nights out was forgotten and everyone took the opportunity to relax and meet new friends. There has been plenty of positive feedback from those that attended and it is hoped that future events will be as successful.
