Membership of the YPN is open to all planning students and planning professionals under the age of 35, and is free. Individuals who are not members of the RTPI who are able to demonstrate a commitment to working with planners to achieve beneficial results can are also eligible to join the network.

Benefits of joining include:

• the opportunity to attend events that share and develop good practice and policy in a relaxed and friendly environment
• a regular e-bulletin in which members can exchange information and keep up to date with RTPI news
• a dedicated website with relevant information and helpful links
• access to the skills and contact details of other members to facilitate networking
• opportunities to participate in small and time-limited task groups, through which network members help to develop policy and projects

To join the network:

You must first have registered on this website by clicking on the "my profile" button in the top right hand corner.  Please complete the Profile as fully as possible as this will help you get the most from the Network (RTPI members please remember to include your membership number).

Once this been done, just click on the ‘Join here!’ link to the left of the homepage. Requesting access there triggers a message to the Network Manager who will grant access and respond to you by email. (Non-RTPI members may be asked to supply additional information.)
