Planning Education to Planning Practice

18-Dec-07

Workshop to be held on 15th January 2008

This Workshop is being jointly organised by the Royal Town Planning Institute and the Centre for Education in the Built Environment.

The event aims to widen the debate on planning education and reflect on whether planning education remains ‘fit for purpose’. The workshop will bring together both planning academics and planning practitioners to increase the dialogue and understanding between these two communities in order to develop a common understanding of the issues and to begin to identify actions to address the issues.

The RTPI believes that improving the dialogue between practice and academia is vital to create new and innovative ways to share the responsibility of providing planning education and equip future planners with the skills, knowledge and competencies to deliver a sustainable future.

As numbers are limited to 60 delegates to allow for maximum interactivity –please register as soon as possible. If you cannot attend the event personally, please consider sending a delegate of your choosing.

We look forward to seeing you in January 2008.
