Angus Kennedy MRTPI is Chief Executive of Community Regeneration Partnership, the consultancy set up to share the experience of Castle Vale Housing Action Trust with other deprived neighbourhoods. Angus is chair of the steering group. He was Chief Executive of the HAT from 1993 until its closure in 2005. In 2003 the HAT was identified as one of the top six Regeneration Agencies in England and Angus was identified as one of the most admired leaders by regeneration practitioners.

His other current positions include being a Board member of Opportunity Peterborough (Urban Regeneration Company ) and Course Director for the CIH/BURA Regeneration Masterclass. His recent positions included being Chairman of Urban Living, the Birmingham / Sandwell Market Renewal Area Pathfinder; Board Member of RegenWM, the West Midlands Regional Centre of Excellence; and visiting Professor of Regeneration Studies at the University of Central England.

Glyn Roberts MRTPI is Director of Development for the North Staffordshire regeneration and housing market renewal partnership (RENEW). Formerly Divisional Head of Planning and Regeneration at Scott Wilson in Manchester. His special interests are: city and town centre regeneration; RDAs and regional / strategic planning, infrastructure and economic development; housing market renewal, English Partnerships; URCs, joint ventures and regeneration partnership initiatives; brownfield development and contaminated land; spatial implications of fiscal policy and planning impact fees; sustainability and urban regeneration implications of transport infrastructure; masterplanning & urban design; links between physical, socio-economic and environmental aspects of regeneration, staff and member development in both planning and regeneration - and managing the interface between the statutory planning system and regeneration resource allocation and investment system at all levels from national to local.

Craig McLaren MRTPI, MIED is Director of the Scottish Centre for Regeneration. Craig's main interests are in community regeneration, linking opportunity based regeneration to need (and vice versa), community engagement and empowerment in regeneration, skills for regeneration, exchanging practice and experience, inter professional/ sectoral/ disciplinary working and sustainable development and regeneration.

Mike Fairmaner MRTPI is Economic Policy Manager for Westminster City Council. Mike's special interests are Neighbourhood Renewal and the work of Local Strategic Partnerships, community benefit from local developments, Business Improvement Districts and engaging businesses in regeneration.

David Chilton MRTPI is English Partnerships’ Area Director for Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Cumbria, with responsibility for delivering all the national regeneration agency’s projects in the region that will create new communities, bring new jobs and investment to the area, and build on the area’s heritage.  This includes work with strategic partnerships for housing renewal, Urban Regeneration Companies, Housing Market Renewal Pathfinders and the New Islington Millennium Community in East Manchester.  David began his regeneration career in the planning and housing departments of Tameside MBC and also includes roles at several North-West based housing associations.

Suzy Nelson PhD is Course Director for MA Urban Regeneration at the University of Westminster. As well as teaching regeneration students she contributes to teaching on the MA Urban and Regional Planning. She is currently doing research on career opportunities and career development in regeneration, and on the provision of social infrastructure for the projected increased population in London. She originally trained as an architect and worked on housing and education projects. She later worked on the development of urban regeneration policy for the London Borough of Islington and the implementation of education and housing policy in London Borough of Southwark.
