We asked RTPI Learning Partners in the public sector how they ensure that career and professional development priorities are not compromised by the current climate of budget cuts and cost reductions (article).

As councils reduce services to meet budgets, issues around planning officers’ caseloads must be understood to help maintain resources and justify fees (article).

The survey includes views from 68% of Welsh Councils, covering a range of topics including the number and type of planners employed, redundancy strategies, CPD resources and what employers consider to be the key issues when recruiting planners.

We've offered guidance and information to members on job evaluation and how to appeal against proposed pay cuts. Our 'job evaluation and public sector perfomance' online survey sought to gather member's views on the impact of job evaluation.
