Excellence in Delivery - Recognising Good Practice

Regen Network award

The RTPI Regeneration Network is delighted to announce the winner of the first ever Network Award, which aims to recognise a unique, innovative, informative and inspiring project:

@symes community building, Bristol (entered by Stephen Hewitt, Chief Executive, Hartcliffe and Withywood Community Partnership)

@symes is run and managed by local people as part of Hartcliffe and Withywood Community Partnership (HWCP) and hosts a range of new services, training facilities, meeting rooms, crèche and facilities for community use. It is an excellent example of an asset being transferred to community ownership and use. The building has been designed to be very accessible, friendly and to a high environmental standard (BREEAM very good), with a balcony design based on old maps of the area.

Congratulations are also due to the shortlisted entries:

Northwich Vision - salt mine to gold mine!

Regeneration of St George’s Square, Luton

And to the specially commended Partners in Regeneration learning network

We held a network event to the Award winner in June, and will be visiting St George's Square in October.  Please visit this page to find out further details (Network members will be informed of and given priority booking for these events via the bulletin).
