THE RTPI ANNUAL CONVENTION

The Royal Town Planning Institute’s 2008 Planning Convention, ‘Changing Places: Changing World’ aims to marry the effects of globalisation with the emergence of the role of place-shaping at the neighbourhood level. It will help to identify where these forces are at work and provide the knowledge and practical tools to tackle them, through a mixture of plenary sessions and workshops. Read more.

The RTPI is engaged with some of the most important issues of the day - climate change, sustainability, regeneration, rural development, water management and our events programme provide you with the opportunity to discuss and debate with some of the leading voices in the field.   Our varied programme offers you an extensive and topical range of conferences and training events covering all aspects of spatial planning.

We deliver a wide range of services to members on a regional and national basis through our network of RTPI Regions and Nations. Becoming involved in your RTPI region gives you access to training, lectures, social events, newsletters, local information and a network of colleagues in your area, all of which can support your professional development. Our Networks and Associations hold small events and debates for members which help influence RTPI policy and to develop good practice.
