Lecture Theatre 101, Queens Building, Anglia Ruskin University, Bishop Hall Lane, Chelmsford CM1 1SQ, UK
We are very grateful to Anglia Ruskin University for hosting this event at their Chelmsford Campus.
Who should attend and why?
This seminar will appeal to anyone involved in the often complex process of delivering major regeneration schemes in urban locations and will explore the legislative hurdles, design solutions and the inevitable compromises that are required. The key players involved in the projects will be present to discuss their experiences and lessons learned.
The event will explore four recent regeneration projects in Chelmsford City Centre, focusing on the benefits of a collaborative approach between the local planning authority and private sector promoters of the projects.
One of the regeneration projects, Chelmsford City Park West, was the winning entry into the RTPI East of England Award for Planning Excellence 2016, see /the-rtpi-near-you/rtpi-east-of-england/regional-awards/2016-awards/chelmsford-city-park/,
The day will start with an optional walking tour of the projects, followed by a buffet lunch and an afternoon seminar.
