Rural planning has often been considered the poor relation to its faster paced, higher density, harder edged sibling, urban planning. However, the perceived solutions to the country's long term social, economic and environmental sustainability issues are increasingly focused upon greenfield sites in non-urban areas.  This update session will explore issues such as housing, energy generation, economic regeneration and appropriate design solutions in rural areas, as well as updating those with an interest in rural planning about recent legislative changes.
