With the return of economic growth but much stricter controls over local government spending, how should we think about regeneration? Masterplans such as Will Allsop's Middlehaven in 2004 were big on ideas but light on delivery but have we become too narrow in our thinking about regenerating cities and communities?  This seminar will focus on the current issue around national and local investment in regereration, the role of the planning system as well as practical regional examples of successful initiatives.
