Whatever your role within planning you will probably come across transport planning, but what is it? As part of this years’ programme, YPSW is trying to branch out and offer events that cover more than just Town Planning to enable all professionals to learn from each other. Hydrock has offered an event to give an insight into and answer questions surrounding Transport Planning.

The Transport Planning team at Hydrock work across the country, and also local projects including the Bristol General Hospital site and Factory No.1 in Bedminster to name a few. These schemes have variously involved the preparation of transport assessments, travel plans, construction traffic management plans and detailed junction modelling exercises.

What is the difference between a transport assessment and a travel plan and why do you need a transport assessment? These are some of the questions that will be answered however, if you have questions, send them through and we will get them answered!

This should be a really good networking event which will enable different disciplines to come together and find out a bit more about the ‘other planning’.

The event will be held at the Planning Inspectorate’s offices on 3 November 2016 starting at 6.30pm, doors open from 6pm. Attendance is free, and will count towards your CPD.
