1. Building the foundations for success
Why do some jobs go well and others badly? What are the ingredients of success? Is there a simple model for setting up and managing project work that improves everyday performance? This session addresses each of these questions and provides a simple model to help delegates review their current project work and decide where to focus efforts to improve future performance.

2. Agreeing the goals and defining the tasks
It has been said that 'If you don't know where you are going, any route is good enough!' One of the most vital elements of success in project work is to have clearly defined and agreed goals. This is often easier said than done and this session shares some tried and tested methods and techniques that can help, whether working one-to-one with a 'customer' or as part of a larger group.

3. Developing the plan
Everyone agrees the importance of planning, but how can smaller projects and work assignments be planned without the burden of too much bureaucracy? And how can we get all the relevant people to take the planning process seriously and commit to work programmes when they have so many other priorities? This session explores some key tools and techniques for planning, shows how to match the planning activity to the scale of the project and how to get the key players involved.

4. Implementing the programme
It's all very well having a great plan but this doesn't guarantee that anything will get done! Successful people know how to get things done with and through others and are skilled in the arts of delegating, communicating, keeping track of progress, managing their own time and responding positively to the day-to-day problems that inevitably occur. This session explores the art of executing project work and working effectively as a member or leader of multiple project teams.
