One India Buildings, Edinburgh, EH1 2EX
India Buildings and land to the rear on Cowgate have been identified as one of the ‘Edinburgh 12’, the projects with the greatest potential to deliver economic growth for the city. Set within the Old Town Conservation Area and Edinburgh’s World Heritage Site, and comprising a mix of Category A, B and C listed buildings and vacant land, the site has been assembled by Jansons Property.
The ultimate objective is to deliver a new hotel and complementary ground floor uses which reinvigorate the retained buildings and which sensitively inserts a new building of quality within the historic setting, delivering economic, environmental and social enhancement for the city.
Speakers: Paul Nash (Jansons Property), Susannah Macneill (ICA) and Colin Smith (Turley)
Drinks afterwards at Villager, 49-50 George IV Bridge
