Equal by Design by Dr Peg Raws (Bartlett School of Architecture) and Dr Beth Lord (Senior Lecturer in Philosophy, University of Aberdeen) is a  documentary film about equality, wellbeing and the UK housing crisis.

Structured in three parts, the film shows how the 17th Century Dutch
philosopher, Baruch Spinoza’s theory of wellbeing and equality can be used to analyse housing and income equalities, and how his ideas related to post-war and current day social housing design.

There will be a screening of the ‘Equal by Design’ documentary followed by presentations from each of our speakers on some of the issues raised in the film.

  • Dr Beth Lord (University of Aberdeen)
  • Nikola Miller (Homes for Scotland)
  • Adam Land (Shelter)

Free for RTPI Members/Students. To book your place please email by Monday 7th November.
