The Engine Shed, Forthside Way, Stirling, FK8 2BY
This event will give you the opportunity to take a short tour of The Engine Shed to see first-hand the work that is underway by Historic Environment Scotland transforming and restoring this former military depot, built in the early 1900s, into Scotland’s first dedicated building conservation centre.
The tour will be led by Ian Walker, Building Crafts Development Manager at Historic Environment Scotland.
There will be two tours of the site, with a maximum of 12 places on each due to the fact that this is an operational building site. Tour 1 will start at 10 am, and Tour 2 at 11.30 am, both lasting approx. 1 hour each. Due to the limited number of places available, we are unable to take requests for which is your preferred tour. Please arrive 10 mins before your tour to allow time toget suitably attired!
This is a joint event between the RTPI’s Scottish Young Planners’ Network and the Central Scotland Chapter – all RTPI members are welcome.
Please contact the Scottish Young Planner's Network to reserve a place, and please include your shoe size as safety boots must be worn on site.
