Jane Jacobs Walk Cardiff

Saturday, 21 May 2016 at 1:00PM - 4:00PM
Central Square, Cardiff, Cardiff CF10 1EP, UK

Young Planners Cymru would like to invite you to join us for a Jane Jacobs Walk to celebrate the 100th birthday of the American planning (or anti-planning!) hero.

The walk will be led by Professor John Punter of Cardiff University’s School of Geography & Planning, and will take us on a tour including Butetown and Mount Stuart Square in Cardiff Bay using Jacob’s ideas as a means of exploring them more closely.

We will meet at 1pm on Saturday 21st May in front of Cardiff Central Station and walking for around 3 hours. After this we will decamp to a café near the end of the walk to discuss our findings and for a general social get together.

There are a limited number of spaces on the tour (which was fully booked last year!), so please register to book your place. If you are unable to attend the walk but would like to meet us afterwards please let us know, details will be circulated closer to the time.

Directions and information on how to register for this event can be found here.
