This full day event, being held in association with the IHBC, will be of value to anyone working within the historic environment.  It will cover the challenges connected with housing growth in historic and rural areas and will include case studies from parts of the East of England.

There will be an overview of the Neighbourhood Planning process, lessons learnt, and the challenges of achieving good outcomes for the historic environment through case studies.

Presentations on ‘Garden Suburbs’ and historic market towns, and NPPF Paragraph 55 dwellings will be included.

During the afternoon, there will be an introduction to an award-winning scheme within Saffron Walden followed by a site visit to the scheme to enable attendees to see how the theory can be put into practice.
