Reflections on Planning Review

A Grampian Chapter Event

Wednesday, 15 June 2016 at 5:00PM - 7:30PM
Brodies LLP, 31-33 Union Grove, Aberdeen, AB10 6SD
RTPI Scotland

With the outcomes of the Scottish Government Planning Review fast approaching, the RTPI Grampian Chapter have pre-emptively organised an event inviting a panel of speakers to give their initial thoughts on the outcomes of the Review process.

Our confirmed speakers are:

  • Neil Collar, Partner, Brodies LLP
  • Bruce Stewart, Planning Service Manager, Aberdeenshire Council
  • Malcolm Campbell, Associate, Knight Frank Aberdeen

The event will include the initial thoughts on the outcomes of the Review from each speaker, each from their own perspective in the planning industry, as well as a opportunity for general discussion amongst attendees.

The event will be followed by the launch of the 4th edition of ‘Planning’, a book written by Neil Collar, Partner, Brodies LLP and accredited specialist in planning law.  The new book provides a manual for the planning and property community and offers insights into, and guidance on, a whole range of issues including the Historic Environment (Scotland) Act 2014, sustainable development and the new and consolidated regulations for development management, and it also addresses the new national planning policy context, including Scottish Planning Policy 2014.

Please contact Sophie Garrett and Claire McArthur to book your place. We are limited to 50 attendees at this event, but will operate a waiting list if necessary.
