North Lanarkshire Council's Places for Business and Industry Charrette adopted a truly innovative and collaborative style of working. It aimed to develop a new approach to planning policy for business and industry land, identifying actions needed to grow the business sector while creating sustainable and attractive places to live in, work in and visit. The project was shortlisted as a finalist for this year’s RTPI Planning Awards in the category ‘Excellence in Plan Making Practice’.
The following speakers will discuss their approach to the Charrette; what it involved, how it worked, and what the outcomes were. They will also reflect on their RTPI Award submission.
- Gordon Laing (North Lanarkshire Council)
- Zoe McClelland (AECOM)
- Nick Wright (Nick Wright Planning)
- Dr. John Boyle (Rettie & Co Ltd.)
Refreshments will be provided.
This is a free event but places must be booked. Please contact Zoe McClelland by Friday 10th June to confirm your attendance.
