The government have embarked upon granting a series of devolved powers to combined local administrations, with bids from parts of the south east to participate.

What are the implications for planners and politicians as such bids are successful, and what is needed to make it work?

This event, kindly hosted by Havant Borough Council, will explore these issues and others, with informed presentations and the opportunity for knowledge sharing amongst participants.

Confirmed speakers include:

  • Andrew Biltcliffe: Head of Planning, Havant Borough Council
  • Michael Bingham: Head of Planning Strategy and Reform, DCLG
  • Richard Blyth: Head of Policy and Practice, RTPI
  • Graham Tuck: Planning Policy Group Leader, Southampton City Council, and Spatial Strategy Project Co-ordinator for PUSH.
