London's growth must be considered in a world of resource depletion, climate change and a steadily-increasing population. How will London maintain its resilience when faced with multiple challenges such as air quality, water supply, waste, climate change and biodiversity? How will the capital reduce its impact on the global and local environment? This debate will explore the impacts of existing measures (including the Mayor's current environmental strategies) and the place of the planning system in preserving and enhancing cities' natural capital.
