This inaugural event of RTPI Cymru’s West Wales Chapter will hear from The Public Sector Ombudsman for Wales and the Planning Inspectorate, learning about practices current and developing and their role affecting planning.

  • The Public Sector Ombudsman for Wales and Planning: The role of the Ombudsman, maladministration, injustice and remedies, the investigation process, outcomes in planning cases, good practice pointers.
  • Mr Tony Thickett, Director of Wales, Planning Inspectorate. The role of the Planning Inspectorate and latest updates in changes to the appeals and enforcement system in Wales and the Planning (Wales) Act.
