In this year’s Yorkshire Practice Seminars programme, selected towns and cities in Yorkshire are showcasing planning success and future plans.
Halifax illustrates fantastic contrast between its industrial past and modernity. This seminar will consider how its iconic heritage was secured through investment, funding and partnership arrangements, within a framework of town centre and conservation policy. The study tour will take in landmark projects including Dean Clough, rejuvenated as a business centre, Halifax Piece Hall and Square Chapel, undergoing a major renewal programme, and large-scale town centre public realm improvements.
- Jeremy Hall – Dean Clough
- Barry Reynolds – Piece Hall
- Rachel Jones – WY Transport Fund
This Seminar is held in partnership with Calderdale Council.
