Planning for Community Energy

A free seminar from the TCPA

The Town and Country Planning Association (TCPA) is offering a series of free workshops on planning for sustainable energy in 2015. This is being delivered as part of the European-funded project, Spatial Planning and Energy for Communities in All Landscapes (SPECIAL), which the RTPI is supporting.

Delegates will receive a free tour of a district heating scheme in Derwenthorpe in the morning. In the afternoon, a seminar on opportunities and challenges for large scale new development will take place at the Joseph Rowntree Foundation Energy Centre in Derwenthorpe.

The speakers confirmed for the afternoon seminar include:

  • Steve Hill, Homes and Communities Agency ATLAS
  • Katy Lock, Garden Cities and New Towns Advocate
