Rural Update

Date:
Tuesday, 16 June 2015 at 9:00AM - 4:30PM
Venue:
Stricklandgate House, Library Rd, Kendal
Organiser:
RTPI North West

Against the current background of declining planning influence, including its continuing ability to steer future policy directions, this event will consider a recognition of rural visions and strategies; examine the current position of rural policies in local plans and ask whether optional neighbourhood plans offer a better way forward.  Delegate participation will include working group discussions, drawing on North West experience, over the value of strategic rural visions; a strong local plan rural content and what neighbourhood plans bring to rural areas.
