RTPI Yorkshire Annual Lecture and Reception

Thursday, 23 July 2015 at 6:00PM - 9:00PM
Banqueting Suite, Civic Hall, Calverley Street, Leeds LS1 1UR
RTPI Yorkshire

This is our premier event of the year! Come and join us in Leeds for an exceptional evening.

Connecting People and Places across the world

We are thrilled to welcome internationally renowned Alfonso Vegara to deliver our Lecture this year. President of Fundación Metrópoli in Madrid, Alfonso has an impeccable reputation for the theory and practice of city planning across the globe. An active thinker and practitioner in our own field of planning, architecture and the built environment, he promotes city region development within a European planning perspective and successfully argued for devolved regional powers to the Basque/Bilbao region of northern Spain. He is also a Fellow of the Eisenhower Foundation for inspiring international leadership.

The Lecture will be introduced by Tom Riordan, Chief Executive of Leeds City Council, and you will also have opportunity to hear from and meet the RTPI President, Janet Askew.

Networking Reception

The Lecture will be followed by our wine and canapé networking Reception where you can meet with old friends and colleagues and perhaps find new ones over a discussion of some of the issues arising from the Lecture.

200 delegates attended our Lecture last year and we expect demand to be very high again this year - so book early to avoid disappointment!

The cost is only £10 + VAT for the whole evening (Lecture and Reception), and if you are a full time school, university or college student we would be delighted if you can join us, free of charge.

We are very grateful to our sponsors: DWF LLP and O’Neill Associates.
